Linda is an accomplished Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Finance with four decades of experience guiding closely-held and private equity-backed companies. She leverages this incredible knowledge to provide A La C.A.R.T.E.’s clients with strategic CFO advice and guidance to make informed business decisions and optimize performance. Linda also leads ALC client teams, supervising and mentoring ALC’s accounting staff, to ensure the successful delivery of reliable and accurate financial reporting and accounting technology implementations.

EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining ALC, Linda held lengthy tenures as CFO for manufacturers and distributors of food, durable and consumer goods and promotional products. With an expertise in maximizing enterprise value, Linda has helped multiple companies prepare for sale or transfer of ownership, and has led strategic acquisitions to build value for stakeholders. Her extensive responsibilities spanned management of accounting and finance departments, acquisition due diligence and integration, human resources, private equity investor relations, bank financing and debt compliance, risk management, supply chain and product costing, financial information technology and audit and tax preparation.

Linda’s key operating achievements include directing completion of audit and tax preparation within 30 days of year-end, resulting in a 50% reduction in timeline and fees; creating operational metrics/KPIs and in-depth customer level profitability analyses that led to improved strategic decision-making and enhanced profitability; improving cash flow and working capital by implementing new tools and processes that improved collections by 18% and vendor DPO by 36%; and, leading the selection and implementation of a company-wide ERP system and software development that improved inventory management and enhanced product line margin analytics – on-time and under budget.

BEYOND ACCOUNTING & FINANCE

Linda lives in Bloomingdale, Illinois with her husband and two dogs. Although not a great chef, Linda loves to entertain and test challenging new recipes on her guests! Besides entertaining, Linda spends her free time biking, downhill skiing in the winter months and traveling. Linda is not afraid to try new things and has taken up home improvement projects through the help of YouTube™. Her most recent projects include installing toilets and a floating floor in her basement.
