Learning is a continuous and indefinite process. I enjoy learning new systems, gaining exposure and implementing my learning into practice. I am very detail-oriented, organized and resourceful in the completion of projects in a timely fashion. I gain pure happiness in building financials of a company from ground zero and collaborating with people during the process.
In my past i have worked for two fortune 500 companies where I was part of the corporate accounting team in both the companies. I was responsible for posting various type and high dollar amount journal entries. I was mainly involved in the month end process and conducted multiple account analysis and reconciliations. I was also part of the project where I would ensure internal controls are adequate and effective as per the Sarbanes-Oxley act.
I was also part of the fixed assets team and involved in the monthly depreciation process. I took an initiative and created a form that needed to be filled in the case of receipt of payment from internal employees of the company during any company event. I worked with multiple departments to complete the month end process. Prior to ALC, my last job was at a Trucking company which was a family owned business and they used Cash basis for accounting. The company was primarily using manual methods and excel to do their daily activities and I played a big role in integrating QuickBooks and Port pro dispatch software which streamlined the process extensively and promoted efficiency.

I gain pure joy in shopping as it is very therapeutic for me. I love to make from scratch fresh whole wheat bread which we enjoy as a family a lot . I enjoy playing badminton and taking a stroll outside and watching movies. I love to travel and aim to travel a new country every year and explore the world with my husband and son. I love to dance and I am so glad my son inherited this trait also and is part of this dance club. Mainly, I love spending time with my family so we can create and treasure our beautiful memories.
