As a Senior Accountant, there are a few things that have stood out to me as my passion in my career.
Translating financial information for non-accountants – I enjoy delivering a product to my client/managers/stakeholders that help them understand their business and make concise decisions based on the data that I provide.
Implementing new processes or software – business needs are constantly evolving, as are available tools. I love solving the problems of my clients/team by finding new processes or software that can meet not only their current needs, but also anticipate their future needs.
Collaboration with other team members or departments – everyone has a unique perspective, and working together to bring fresh ideas to the table to solve problems or increase efficiency is very satisfying and exciting.
With 12 years of experience and working full time during the day while earning my degree part time at night, I have had the opportunity to work for companies spanning several industries, including non profit, A/V design and installation, healthcare, publication, event planning, tech, HR services and veterinary.
While working in the publication industry, I managed a portfolio of 3 companies, collaborating directly with the CEOs to validate financial information and implement new reporting software. In addition, I reconciled and presented our ownership company’s report card, which included all 15 domestic publishing companies – up to $750 million in revenue.
During my consulting journey, I prepared and presented financial packages to management – unique to each client – as well as creating and managing financial reports my clients relied on to run their business effectively – cashflow, budgets and PO/WIP status reports.

We love adventuring outside together as a family, visiting zoos, parks and festivals. I’m a self-proclaimed nerd and enjoy all things fantasy – books, movies, and games – and play MMOs on Twitch every week with online friends.
