Darrell is a CPA and received his MBA from California State University, Stanislaus where he achieved a 4.00 GPA. He began his career with the national CPA firm of Elmer Fox and Company (Grant Thornton). After leaving Fox and Company he partnered with a high school friend in the firm of Blomberg and Griffin, CPA’s that grew to three offices and competed with the national firms. Darrell started his career in private industry as Controller at one of the largest poultry companies in the United States.

Moving his family to Southern California, Darrell took the position of CFO for one of the largest employment services in the country. After a few years he was offered the opportunity to enter the entertainment industry as CFO for a major infomercial media/ production company.

Over the last several years Darrell has served as CFO/ Controller consultant to companies from startups to International multi-million dollar companies. Industry emphasis has been entertainment, internet, food and consumer products.

In addition to his consulting to business, Darrell is a successful published author, having written a number of successful books. He wrote, “Business With A Purpose.” It is a 600 page guide for people wanting to start, manage, grow and protect a business. He is also author of, “Last Journey” selected as book of the month by Barnes and Noble and given extensive praise by the NY Times. Darrell embedded with his son’s combat unit in Baghdad and Mosul to complete this book. Darrell lives in Northridge with his wife of 35 years, also a CPA, and one of their six grown children.
